History in the Making!
October 18th will provide a one-of-a-kind opportunity in Osage County as the author and the setting of one of America’s best-sellers come together for a rare moment in time. David Grann’s, “Killers of the Flower Moon,” tells the true story of the murders in Osage County in the early 1920’s which led to the trial of the century in the historic courthouse in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Based on unprecedented oil wealth, vicious hidden greed, a plot twist that is shocking, and the beginnings of the FBI, “Killers of the Flower Moon” has captivated the country and Hollywood as the movie rights have even been purchased. On October 18th, the author returns to the setting of the story for a rare meet-and-greet book signing! From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Waterbird Gallery located at 134 E. 6th Street in Pawhuska, you can visit with the author in person, stand in the county where it all took place, and leave with an autographed copy. History, mystery, and opportunity come together to make a magical moment that you don’t want to miss! This event is open to the public, and we hope to see you at the Waterbird Gallery, as history is being made once again in the Osage.
